Polish Sabre
A quickie to build a Polish Sabre. I've had a kick of finding out about some really well-crafted sword fights and one of the best is watchable in the Polish movie "The Deluge" there's a great review without spoiling too much on Skallagrims youtube site https://youtu.be/FR976PhMbDM . If I get the feeling too I might also make the scabbard.
B28 Polish Sabre
My favourite cycles render even if it doesn't show too much detail. The 8k version of this render looks damn good, but I had to limit the denoise to prevent it smearing the image too much and removing the grain. This model uses the modelled fuller blade.
I rendered this with some Decalmachine extras but the render came out a little too dark so I had to photoshop the image a little to lighten it up.This uses the decal fuller on the blade, I'm not happy on the reflections it gives but it was mainly a test.
This was just me playing around with Eevee to see what effects I could get away with.
The original design, built in Eevee with Decals on the guard and hilt. The fuller is an actual modelled section, bu in a later render I tried to get it to work and I wasn't too happy with it.
Render is Eevee based.
